UCAM has successfully completed three
cycles of parenting skills training to Cambodian parents.
Parenting skills are essential tools for Cambodian parents who
are currently struggling to acculturate into the mainstream
society. The difficulties arise when parents and children are
caught between the balance of traditional Cambodian and
contemporary American cultures. Thus, parenting tips/tools are
vital in strengthening Cambodian families.
We also assist new refugees from Burma with
English language, computer classes, transportation, employment,
translation, applying for pubic benefits and Medicare.
